Do yourself a great big chunky favour and go to Nightmare if you've never been. It's a great night out, the vibe is fantastic, the people are fab and the music's top notch. Now it's in two rooms there's something to please everyone, from goth to industrial to drum'n'bass, it's all here. I defy anyone not to have fun at Nightmare!

Woooo! was here last night, went straight after the mortiis gig. Even though Mortiis was the initial reason why I went to nottingham all the way from co.durham I will probably go back again for this night alone... fantastic. The 2 friends I was with loved it also, it completed an excellent night.

Nightmare - Great news and slightly less than great news... Well after short but substantial chats with the new management at the Old Vic, I'm pleased to be able to say that Nightmare will continue to be at the Vic for the forseeable future. So this months (ie Saturday's monastery of sound theme night is definatley still on - spread the word... On a less cool note, the new manager wants to try and make saturdays generally a bit more trendy on a regular basis so we'll be losing the two floor option i'm afraid. What that means for Nightmare is that we'll be reverting to exactly how it was before March, the same mix of music the same people the same venue. Now that does mean that we'll all have to be a bit more tolerant if 15 to 30 minutes of a type of music is played that you're not really into as there's no other floor to run to - sorry until we can prove to the vic that its so incredibly popular and brilliant that we really MUST have both floors..thats the way its going to have to be. As far as i'm concerned i'm just glad to keep the night at such a good venue. And to be truthful most folk felt it had more atmosphere on one room. The alternatives...Nightmare on Sundays or Nightmare in a seedy tekno club on the edge of town (not that there's anything wrong with seedy tekno clubs...) So to recap: Nightmare Saturday 10th August Downstairs at the Old Vic Fletcher Gate Hockly Nottingham 9pm til 2am Goth/80s/Industrial/ebm/alternative Entry £4 (discount for those in appropriate fancy dress) Resident DJ Gadge Europa plus guests. This months theme: Monastery of Sound - Masses like us Nun better! Discount for devils and angels, vicars and nuns etc www.vain-ego.com/nightmare. A non-prophet organisation
