I truely (and finally, it was about time) enjoyed the last Vain (15 nov). Since I am of the evermore scarce species who think you CAN dance to deathrock, but not hold the clubby techno tunes too close to my heart, I was delighted to hear the likes of Christian Death (Cavity was great, but Romeos Distress isnt that dance-y) and Sex Gang Children. And by the time the whole techno madness unleashed it was too much fun to be bothered. I say this because I have the feeling (but then again, I'm a bit of a paranoid) that there is simply too many apoptygmas and vnv nations (no offence intended - its simply a matter of taste). Vain managed to balance things a little. It is my favourite (so far) in Edinburgh.

I was planning a trip to Edinburgh with my friend last weekend and noticed this night on the events listing so we decided to give it a go and I am so glad we did! We had so much fun - and not all of it was down to the copious amounts of very reasonable priced smirnoff ice's! The music was well balanced and varied, and all extremely danceable which made a nice change from some goth clubs I've been to recently. The people were extremely friendly and it was a veritable feast for the eyes! :-) There was even party favours and sweets on the tables - what more could you want!
