Description | The Club With No Name was set up by Chris Lovell and friends to fill what for years had been a yawning gap in the Peterborough music scene: a regular venue for national and international touring bands - from cult indie to hardcore metal, rising rock acts to living punk legends - with opportunities for local acts to play prestigious support slots. The club first met at The Boy's Head in March 1999, but it soon outgrew the pub and moved to the newly-opened, purpose-built music venue The Park in January 2000. The Club With No Name is now a regular stop on many a national tour, and attracts audiences from all across East Anglia and the East Midlands.
The club meets every Thursday (when there are special offers at the bar), many Sundays and on other occasions, depending on tour schedules. Membership of the club is optional, but is free on the door and entitles you to reduced admission rates. Tickets can also be ordered in advance from Lounge Lizard, Westgate Arcade Tel: 01733 555883. Doors usually open at 9pm on Thursdays and 8pm on Sundays. Most gigs have a "16+ with ID" entrance policy, although some specified popular events are 14+. |
